ATTENTION SWIMMERS!!!  There is no practice on Moday, May 27th, due to Memorial Day.  Practice will resume at the normal scheduled time on Tuesday, May 28th.  Enjoy your long weekend and be ready to hit the water on Tuesday.  The Swim-a-thon is on Thursday, May 30th, and our first swim meet is on June 1st.  More information to follow.

Recently we held a clinic for stroke and turn judges at the pool.  We watched several videos which covered the proper stroke and turn techniques and what will get you disqualified from a race.  Several parents and swimmers wanted to watch the videos to get a better understanding of the strokes.  Click on the links below to watch the training videos.  They should answer any questions you may have about the strokes.  These videos are also listed under the Practice Schedule page.  ENJOY!

Please turn all forms in to your family file folders located on the South/West side of the pool by the office door.  I will be checking folders tomorrow evening.  Suits will be here right before the swim-a-thon & t-shirts right before the first swim meet.

The pool is full and we are at a record high of 130 swimmers!!!  Wow!  Now, if we can get everyone at a swim meet; look out for the Wrecking Ball!!!  If you are seeing this post and you were hoping to swim with us this summer, we are sad that we cannot accommodate you as our pool is very crowded.  We place a high emphasis on keeping the number of coaches to swimmers at a reasonable ratio.  Wreckers registration opens Feb. 3rd, 2014.  We encourage you to register early to ensure your swimmers place on our team.

Norcal will have practice suits, caps, and goggles available to purchase before and after the fittings.

The first official day of the 2013 swim season is April 1st.  Practice times have changed slightly to hopefully better accommodate more families and because the pool is being shared by so many entities.

Program Registration and Fees

For each swimmer, participants pay a flat fee to the City of Woodland, Parks & Recreation Department for the entire season.  The fee is due at the time of registration.  This fee includes team suit and cap.  Fees will not be pro-rated for holidays, vacations, or days missed.  Emergency card must be completed and returned to Parks & Recreation office before swimmer is eligible to participate.  To complete swimmer registration process, EACH swimmer must complete the Norcal Swim League registration form.  This ensures your child will be able to swim in the swim meets.  Click on the link below to go to the form.
